Alamance is a village in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 310 at the 2000 census.

Alamance is located at 36140N, 792920W (36.027672, -79.488863)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.9 km (0.7 mi). 1.8 km (0.7 mi) of it is land and 1.37% is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 310 people, 148 households, and 92 families residing in the village. The population density was 168.6/km (434.7/mi). There were 161 housing units at an average density of 87.6/km (225.8/mi). The racial makeup of the village was 97.10% White, 1.29% African American, 0.65% Native American, 0.32% Asian, and 0.65% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.32% of the population.

There were 148 households out of which 18.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.9% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.8% were non-families. 35.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.09 and the average family size was 2.65.
